Our passionate SWLs certainly know this for a long time – this note is therefore aimed at all those who press the SW button just occasionally:
The DARC produces its own program – Radio DARC – which is also focussed at “ordinary listeners” (those without a license…).
Every Sunday at 11:00 CET, Radio DARC broadcasts on 9670 kHz (31 m band) from Wooferton in England with 125kW and a “4 over 4 curtain antenna” in the direction of 105° to Germany. With this equipment, an effective power of just under 4 MW is achieved.
Radio DARC can also be heard on 6070 kHz in the 49 m broadcast band, but only with 10 kW.
